സിനിമ പാരഡിസൊ എന്ന ഇറ്റാലിയന്‍ സിനിമയെ കുറിച്ച് ഒരു പാട് ലേഖനങ്ങളും പഠനങ്ങളും ഇതിനോടകം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഗിസിപ്പെ ടോര്‍ണടോരെ എന്ന ഇറ്റാലിയന്‍ സംവിധായകന്‍റെ 1988-ഇല്‍ റിലീസ്‌ ചെയ്ത ചിത്രം ആദ്യം വന്‍ പരാജയമായിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ഇതേ സിനിമ വെട്ടി ചുരുക്കി അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര പ്രദര്‍ശനത്തിന് എത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ വന്‍ വിജയമായി. ഇറ്റലിയില്‍ പോലും ഈ രണ്ടാം വരവിലാണ് ചിത്രം വിജയിക്കുന്നത്.

മലയാള സിനിമയെ സംബന്ധിച്ച്‌ മഹത്തായ ഒരു വര്‍ഷമാണ് കടന്നു പോയത്‌. കലാമൂല്യമേറിയ ഒട്ടനവധി ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ വര്‍ഷമായിരുന്നു 2009. ഏകദേശം 70 മലയാള ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയപ്പോള്‍, ഇരുപതോളം മൊഴിമാറ്റ ചിത്രങ്ങളും തീയേറ്ററുകളിലെത്തി. കച്ചവട സിനിമകള്‍ക്കൊപ്പം, കലാമൂല്യമേറിയ ഒരു പിടി ചിത്രങ്ങളും ഈ വര്‍ഷം നമുക്കാതി പ്രദര്‍ശനത്തിനെത്തി. പഴശ്ശിരാജ പോലെയുള്ള വലിയ ബഡ്‌ജറ്റ്‌ ചിത്രങ്ങളും, രാമാനവും ശുദ്ധരില്‍ ശുദ്ധന്‍ പോലെയുള്ള തീരെ ചിലവു കുറഞ്ഞ ചിത്രങ്ങളും നമുക്കായി എത്തിയ വര്‍ഷമായിരുന്നു 2009. ഇറങ്ങി… Continue
